Probability Music Programme 
(The IPW Programme that was featured on TCS Channel 8 recently. See video clip below!)


Students will make use of the Principles of Probability to re-create classical pieces. This programme not only introduces basic concepts of Probability to students- it also reinforces these concepts through practical examples in music composition. 

Students will learn to use simple but powerful music sequencing software and also Basic Mathematics (Probability), based on MOE School Mathematics syllabus. 

 

Probability Music Programme Overview (5 or 8 Hours)
Part I: Students will make use of the Principles of Probability to re-create classical pieces. This programme not only introduces Probability concepts, but reinforces these concepts through practical examples in music composition.

Part II: Fractal Mathematics and Fractal Music are covered in this segment and class practical involves Visual Art and Music. Students will also learn to compose tunes using Fractal geometric shapes and algorithms - a new and exciting musical frontier to explore!
