IPW Programme - Natural Science with Music featured in

This Enrichment program is a special combination of 2 areas of academic learning, Natural Science (Bioacoustics) and Music. The training is designed for upper primary and lower secondary students. The programme aim to reinforce their learning of Natural Science and make learning of Science more fun by bringing in elements of Music composition.

The objectives of training will be :-
u Cultivate critical thinking skills.
u Learn about Science of the natural world around us.
u Appreciate the importance of wild life conservation.

Natural Science with Music Programme Overview 

Science and Bioacoustics Study
Students will learn and research on the following subjects

u Ultasounds made by marine sea mammals
u Handling and capturing sounds using bioacoustic field equipment
u Bioacoustics Field trip (optional)
u The impacts of sounds to marine sea mammals and how study of Bioacoustics may help in conservation efforts.

Music
 Students will learn to compose music featuring sounds of animals and ambient environmental music.

u Rudiments and structure in music composition
u Music software usage
  u Basic sequencing software
  u Loop manipulation software
